Ação da Cidadania is offering 60 free spots in social gastronomy courses in Rio de Janeiro, with classes starting in April 2024.
Ação da Cidadania has announced the opening of registrations for 60 free spots in its Social Gastronomy School in Rio de Janeiro, beginning from Thursday, March 26. The courses are aimed at individuals aged 18 and over and do not require prior experience. Classes will commence in April and will take place in Gamboa, the port area of the city, making it accessible for local residents.
The program includes two types of courses: one is a medium-duration course in Brazilian Cuisine, offering 40 spots, while the other is a short-duration course titled 'Popular Gastronomy: Concepts and Practices for Food Business', with 20 available spots. To support participants, the organization provides assistance for food and transport during the training period, encouraging community engagement and skill development in the culinary arts.
Registrations can be completed exclusively through Ação da Cidadania's website. The deadline for the medium-duration course registration is set for March 15, while those for the short-duration course can sign up until April 13. This initiative not only aims to enhance culinary skills among participants but also emphasizes the importance of traditional knowledge in food preparation, thus promoting a rich cultural heritage within the community.
