Sinhores and iFood open more than 100 free spots for courses on the SP coast; see how to register

Sinhores and iFood are offering over 100 free training spots for kitchen assistants and waiters in cities along the São Paulo coast.

Sinhores, the Union of Hotels, Restaurants, Bars and Similar of Baixada Santista and Vale do Ribeira in Brazil, has partnered with iFood to provide over 100 free training spots for aspiring kitchen assistants and waiters. Available in Santos, São Vicente, and Guarujá, the program aims to enhance skills in the hospitality industry, which has been recovering following the COVID-19 pandemic.

The courses are structured to include both practical and theoretical sessions, specifically designed for individuals already working in professional kitchens as well as those wishing to enter the field. Participants in the kitchen assistant course will learn crucial skills such as food hygiene, manipulation of ingredients, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety, while waiter training is exclusively offered in Santos.

This initiative not only addresses the demand for qualified workers in the local hospitality sector but also seeks to boost the confidence and employability of participants. With an increasing focus on education and workforce development in Brazil, programs like these are essential as the industry looks to rebound and expand after the disruptions caused by the pandemic.
