Gastronomic Guide Offers Discounts at Immigrant Restaurants in SP
A new gastronomic guide highlights immigrant-owned restaurants in São Paulo while offering discounts to promote these establishments.
Bela Vista Cultural, a publishing house, is set to launch a tourist and gastronomic guide dedicated to the immigrant cuisine of São Paulo. The guide will feature over 30 restaurants, bars, and cafes established by entrepreneurs from Latin America, Africa, Europe, and Asia, providing a valuable resource for both locals and tourists interested in exploring diverse culinary offerings.
The guide focuses on businesses operated by first-generation immigrants or their family members, showcasing a variety of cultural influences in the city’s rich food scene. Establishments with roots in countries like Turkey, Peru, South Korea, Chile, Venezuela, China, and the Philippines will be included, bringing a taste of global flavors to São Paulo. Some highlighted businesses are Al Janiah, Esfiharia Effendi, and Café Colombiano, among others, which reflect the diverse backgrounds of the city's immigrant community.
To encourage visits to the featured restaurants, the guide includes coupons that offer a 10% discount on diners' bills. This initiative not only aims to promote the cuisine and culture of immigrant communities but also supports local economies affected by the pandemic, illustrating a community-focused effort to revive the dining sector while celebrating diversity in culinary heritages.
