Sahmyook University Reveals Slogan and Emblem for Its 120th Anniversary
Sahmyook University has unveiled a new slogan and emblem to commemorate its 120th anniversary this year.
Sahmyook University (President Je Hae-jong) has announced a new slogan and emblem to celebrate its 120th anniversary this year, emphasizing its commitment to delivering essential educational values and vision in the face of a rapidly changing educational environment. The newly proclaimed slogan, 'Renew People, Benefit the World,' simplifies the previous motto, reflecting the university's goal of making a direct impact while staying true to its core mission of educating and transforming individuals.
The commemorative emblem is designed around the concept of 'Legacy to Future,' incorporating the new slogan. The strong and upright figure of the number '1' symbolizes the solid foundation built since the university's founding in 1906, while the three-dimensional arrangement of the numbers '1, 2, 0' visually represents the balance and passion for holistic education that seeks harmony in spirituality, intellect, and physicality. Notably, the vacant shape of the number '0' signifies an open window towards possibilities beyond perception, indicating the university's embrace of a diverse and limitless future.
The primary color of the emblem, 'SYU Light Blue,' builds on the university's traditional blue, representing innovation, bright potential, and a hopeful future founded upon 120 years of proud heritage. This launch of the new slogan and emblem marks the beginning of a series of academic, cultural, and alumni events celebrating the universityβs 120th anniversary, demonstrating Sahmyook University's ongoing commitment to its community and educational mission.
