Sahmyook University celebrated its 2025 graduation ceremony, where 1,085 graduates received their degrees, including international students and awards for top achievers.

Sahmyook University held its graduation ceremony for the 2025 academic year on December 12, celebrating the achievements of 1,085 graduates. The event took place in the newly constructed Mission 70th Anniversary Hall for undergraduates and the Hong Myung-ki Hall for graduates, attended by university officials, including President Je Hae-jong, Vice President Seo Kyung-hyeon, alumni association President Oh Deok-sin, and others who congratulated the graduates on their new beginnings.

Among the graduates were 933 receiving bachelor's degrees, 70 doctorate degrees from the general graduate school, 67 master's degrees, as well as master's degrees from theology and business graduate programs. Graduates who excelled academically were recognized with awards, such as Lee Ji-sung from the Department of Physical Therapy, who earned the board of directors' award for top academic performance. The ceremony also welcomed 60 international students and 11 students with disabilities, highlighting the diverse student body of the university.

During his speech, President Je emphasized the importance of human values and spirituality in a rapidly changing world marked by the rise of generative AI. He urged graduates to develop a sense of responsibility and ethical awareness, pointing out that while AI can provide answers, it cannot pose questions or take responsibility. He affirmed that the core of Sahmyook education focuses on spiritual education, encouraging students to remember their alma mater and convey positive influences in society. Minister of the Interior and Safety Yoon Ho-jung also delivered a congratulatory message via video, expressing hopes for the graduates to uphold the values of truth, love, and service as they step into their futures.
