The annual gastronomic competition Comida di Buteco will soon commence its 19th edition in Rio de Janeiro, running from April 10 to May 10, 2026. This popular event showcases bars from the capital, Baixada Fluminense, and Niterói, where local establishments compete to be recognized as the best 'botecos' or casual bars. Each participating bar will create a unique snack featuring vegetables prominently, aligning with the competition's chosen theme to elevate local culinary traditions.

During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to taste innovative dishes crafted specifically for the contest, each priced uniformly at R$ 40 across Brazil.
