Quaest First Round: Lula Leads in Two Scenarios and is Tied with Flávio Bolsonaro in Five Others

A recent Quaest poll indicates President Lula is leading in two first-round scenarios while being in a statistical tie with Senator Flávio Bolsonaro in five others.

A poll conducted by Quaest and released on Wednesday shows that President Lula (PT) is leading in two of the first-round scenarios tested, showing intent to vote percentages ranging from 36% to 39%. In contrast, Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) has voter intention percentages ranging between 30% and 35%. The closest margin between the two candidates is minimal, with a tie occurring in one scenario where the difference is only one percentage point.

Besides Lula and Flávio, the poll also included five other candidates considered for the presidential race: Ratinho Júnior (PSD), Ronaldo Caiado (PSD), Eduardo Leite (PSD), Romeu Zema (Novo), and Aldo Rebelo (DC). Notably, Ratinho Júnior has achieved the highest percentage among these candidates at 7%, followed by Caiado at 4%, and Leite at 3%. Aldo Rebelo and Renan Santos (from the Missão party) are at 2% each. This coverage reflects a growing interest and engagement within the Brazilian political landscape ahead of the upcoming elections.

Conducted by Genial Investimentos, the survey engaged 2,004 individuals aged 16 and older and reveals the competitive dynamics between President Lula and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, setting the stage for an intriguing and closely watched electoral contest in the lead-up to the election.
