Essential traffic routes will undergo comprehensive repairs, involving the replacement of worn underground networks, renewal of asphalt surfaces, the establishment of pedestrian pathways, and the installation of new lighting. These improvements are crucial not only for motorists but also for pedestrians and public transport users.
The city manages over 1,500 streets, with the maintenance and renovation work conducted based on a council-approved three-year prioritized plan. The repair initiatives are vital for enhancing transportation efficiency and safety within Kaunas, reflecting the city's commitment to infrastructure development. This year, major works are slated to be completed on several streets, including H. and O. Minkovskių, Birželio 23-iosios, and several others, as well as the areas surrounding the railway station.
