In a concerning incident in Seoul, police have initiated a search of the hospital where a former nurse allegedly provided drugs to the driver of a Porsche, identified only as Mr. G, who plummeted from the Banpo Bridge. The former nurse, known as Ms. B, has confessed to giving propofol to Mr. G, leading to her being investigated for violating drug management laws. The police are scrutinizing the hospital in Yongsan as a potential source of the narcotics involved in the case.
The incident occurred on September 25 when Mr. G crashed his Porsche through the guardrails of Banpo Bridge and fell onto an embankment near the Han River. Investigators found multiple empty bottles of propofol and various medical syringes within the vehicle, raising questions about the circumstances that led to the crash. Following her confession, Ms. B's involvement was confirmed through CCTV footage that captured Mr. G shortly before the accident.
Authorities have detained Mr. G for driving under the influence of drugs and violation of drug management laws, as he was allegedly moving between hospitals to obtain prescriptions for substances like propofol. A court hearing regarding Ms. B's pre-arrest examination is set for October 10 at the Seoul Western District Court, highlighting the serious legal ramifications surrounding this case and its implications for drug abuse within South Korea.
