Sogang University's Mentoring Center will host a special lecture on navigating the AI era, featuring design expert Hong Seong-jun.

Sogang University's Mentoring Center, known as 'Window of Thought', is set to hold a special lecture on March 18 at 6 PM in the Ignacio Hall's small auditorium. The topic of the talk is 'Navigating the AI Era: A Compass for the Age of AI', where speaker Hong Seong-jun, the design director at Bank Salad, is expected to provide insights on how to cope with the significant transformations brought by AI. He has previously worked as a design lead for Google, developing innovative AI services like Google Assistant, and spearheaded design projects for top global brands including Apple and NVIDIA.

The lecture aims to address the uncertainties facing the youth in today's rapidly changing world, especially in relation to AI advancements. It seeks to equip young attendees with knowledge and tools that will help them plan for an unpredictable future. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the mentoring center, which has already hosted eight special lectures since its establishment in 2024 under the leadership of former Minister of SMEs and Startups Park Young-sun, and has engaged over 3,000 youths.

The 'Window of Thought' mentoring center is sustained by generous donations and support from its 94 expert members, which allows it to continue providing valuable insights and mentorship to young people navigating their careers in a digital and AI-centric landscape. This upcoming event not only highlights the importance of adaptability in the age of AI but also reinforces the university's commitment to fostering the next generation of leaders through knowledge sharing and expert guidance.
