A 30-year-old man driving a 'wobbly' Bentley arrested for drug driving charges
A 30-year-old man in Yongsan, Seoul, has been arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs in a Bentley, shortly after a similar incident involving a woman and a Porsche.
In a troubling incident in Yongsan, Seoul, a 30-year-old man was arrested for allegedly driving a Bentley while under the influence of drugs. The arrest occurred around 3:30 AM on the morning of October 28, following reports of a car struggling to stay in its lane. This comes just days after a similar case where a woman crashed a Porsche while under the influence of psychoactive drugs.
The police acted upon receiving reports of erratic driving and found the man, identified by the initial 'G', to be unsteady on the road. Inside his vehicle, officers discovered a drug kit resembling liquid tobacco. Although he was not inebriated, the driver refused to undergo a drug test at the scene, which led to his immediate arrest. The police are currently investigating the nature of the substances found in his possession to determine if they are classified as illegal narcotics.
This recent case raises serious concerns regarding drug-related driving incidents in South Korea, particularly given the severity of recent accidents. Just three days earlier, another driver was involved in a severe crash under similar circumstances, resulting in injuries to another driver. The increasing frequency of such incidents has prompted heightened scrutiny from authorities, who are keen to address this alarming trend in road safety.
