A man in his 30s has been transferred to prosecutors under arrest after stealing a car and driving over 200 kilometers to Goseong while intoxicated. The incident began in the early hours of the 12th when he took a sports utility vehicle (SUV) that was parked and unlocked in the Shinseoldong area of Dongdaemun, Seoul, with the keys left inside. This reckless act not only involved driving under the influence but also resulted in various reports of dangerous driving and hit-and-run incidents along the route he took.

Upon his journey from Seoul to Goseong, the man, identified as Mr. G, was reported to have caused several accidents, including a collision with another vehicle in Anyang before fleeing the scene. Police from various jurisdictions worked together to track him down, ultimately locating him sleeping inside the stolen vehicle in an outdoor parking lot in Goseong on the morning of the 12th, where he was apprehended in the act. He was officially arrested on the 14th, with charges now including theft, hit-and-run, and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Investigations are ongoing as he faces additional charges from the Anyang and Goseong police for violation of special law regarding hit-and-run incidents and DUI laws.
