Aigro did not advance to the second round in Lahti, victory to Tschofenig

Aigro failed to progress to the second round at the tournament in Lahti, with Austria’s Tschofenig claiming victory.

In the recent ski jumping event held in Lahti, Austria's Daniel Tschofenig achieved his first World Cup stage win since the beginning of January, demonstrating excellent aerial performance. Tschofenig, who had clinched the overall title in last season's World Cup series, managed to secure his place in the second round with a third-best jump of 130.5 meters, earning him 147.1 points. In the final round, Tschofenig jumped 129.5 meters, adding another 152.3 points to his score, narrowly outpacing Slovenian jumper Domen Prevc for the win.

Prevc, who previously scored 148 points on his first jump, fell short in the final round, receiving 146.5 points and totaling 298.8 points. Tschofenig's final score of 299.4 points meant he won by a slim margin of just 0.6 points. The podium was rounded out by Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi, who was leading after the first round but finished with a total score of 296.2 points, placing him third in the competition.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old Vaguli did not perform well, failing to qualify for the main event with a jump of only 113.5 meters, which earned him 104.7 points. Although Artti Aigro did advance to the competition, he finished with a jump of 117 meters, resulting in a score of 117.1 points, placing him in 44th position out of 50 competitors. This event showcases the competitive nature of the World Cup ski jumping series, as established athletes continue to dominate the ranks.
