Aigro and Vagul achieved tenth place in the team competition in Lahti

Estonian ski jumpers Artti Aigro and Kaimar Vagul secured a tenth-place finish in the team event at the World Cup held in Lahti. Both athletes participated with two jumps each; Aigro achieved scores of 111.6 points with a 113.5-meter jump and 117.6 points with a 114.5-meter jump, while Vagul scored 105 points for a 109-meter jump and 104.1 points for a 110.5-meter jump. Together, they accumulated a total of 438.3 points, falling short of advancing to the top eight teams.
In the decisive round, each athlete performed another jump. The Austrian team, represented by Jan Hörl and Daniel Tschofenig, ultimately won the competition with a total of 858.6 points, followed by the Slovenian duo of Anže Lanišek and Domen Prevc with 836.8 points, and Finnish skiers Niko Kytosaho and Antti Aalto who scored 805.3 points. The competition was tight as they narrowly outperformed the German team of Felix Hoffmann and Philipp Raimund, who garnered 804.1 points.
The ski jumping World Cup season is nearing its conclusion, with the next two weekends of competitions scheduled in Norway. The season is set to wrap up at the end of March, making this performance significant for Aigro and Vagul, as they look to close the season on a positive note.
