The Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the arrival of an evacuation flight from Dubai to Vilnius, carrying a total of 166 passengers, of whom 120 are Lithuanian nationals, along with citizens from Latvia and Estonia. This flight aims to bring back the most vulnerable individuals as military actions escalate in the Middle East, specifically targeting pregnant women, families with young children, those suffering from critical illnesses, individuals with disabilities, and elderly persons.

This flight marks the third evacuation effort this week in response to increasing tensions and violent actions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran in the region. The situation is becoming increasingly precarious as military conflict intensifies, leading to the urgent need for evacuation assistance. The first evacuation flight, organized by FlyDubai, successfully landed in Vilnius early Thursday morning, returning 170 passengers, including 49 Lithuanians, while a subsequent flight has also been completed.
