Laura Anga, a 16-year-old snowboarder, made her mark at the Junior World Championships held in Calgary, Canada by finishing in seventh place in the Big Air category. In the qualifying round, she performed impressively, ranking fourth in her heat, which allowed her to advance to the finals. The final round saw the ten best competitors, each undertaking three jumps, with the top two scores counted towards their final standings. Anga scored 56.50 points for her first jump and improved to 74.00 points on her second, totaling 130.50 points overall.

In her assessment of the jumps, Anga reflected on her performance, noting the success of her frontside 540 in the first jump, which earned her commendable points. However, she acknowledged that her second jump—backside 900—was marred by a hand touch during landing, leading to a reduction in her score. For her last jump, Anga attempted a frontside 720 but lacked the necessary speed, ultimately doing enough to finish seventh overall. The event concluded with Belgium's Sky Remans winning the championship with 164.50 points, followed closely by Japan's Imari Kato with 155.75 points and the USA's Jessica Perlmutter taking home the bronze medal.
