Soongsil University has signed a collaboration agreement with the Dongjak-gu Office, the Seoul Dongjak-Gu Education Support Office, and three local universities to create a career program that links high school and university education pathways in the Dongjak area. This initiative aims to support high school students by providing a structured educational framework that aligns high school credit systems with university offerings, enhancing local education and career exploration. The program is part of a broader effort to develop a cooperative model for career education that brings together local government, education support offices, and higher education institutions.

The partnership was initiated during a proposal by Soongsil University's admissions director at the commencement ceremony for a self-driving bus project in Dongjak-gu scheduled for June 2025, which sparked discussions about strengthening educational support in the community. This multi-party agreement is designed to facilitate the operation of high school credit-linked educational programs, collaborative development of career exploration initiatives, and sharing of university resources and infrastructure to better serve students in the region.

Soongsil University has previously run successful high school-university programs with significant government backing, achieving high satisfaction ratings among more than two thousand high school students who participated in courses and supplemental programs over the past two years. With this agreement, the university plans to utilize its experience and resources to broaden its support for the high school credit system, reinforcing a regional education framework that can adapt to the specific needs of Dongjak-gu's educational environment.
