Avenida Juracy Magalhães in Salvador is experiencing traffic restrictions due to ongoing construction work for a new pedestrian bridge. The initiative, which comes at the request of the Salvador Urban Development Company (Desal), has resulted in the closure of part of the avenue's roadway. According to Salvador's Traffic Superintendency (Transalvador), only two lanes will be available for vehicle flow, while traffic toward Shopping da Bahia remains unaffected for now.

The construction is set to last approximately 120 days, causing notable disruptions for drivers in the nearby areas of Lucaia, Garibaldi, and Vasco da Gama avenues. To manage the increased congestion and ensure safety, traffic agents will enhance their presence in the area to guide both drivers and pedestrians. Additionally, proper signage will be put in place to facilitate smoother traffic movement.

This infrastructure project aims to improve pedestrian accessibility in the region, but it raises concerns about potential traffic delays and the overall impact on daily commuters. Strategically planned traffic management by local authorities will be crucial in minimizing inconvenience during the construction phase, underscoring the balance between urban development and maintaining efficient transportation routes in Salvador.
