Traffic on Beira Mar Avenue in Aracaju suffers alteration starting this Thursday

Traffic will be altered on Beira Mar Avenue in Aracaju due to ongoing construction work.

Starting from February 19, traffic on Beira Mar Avenue in Aracaju will be modified due to the ongoing construction of the Senadora Maria do Carmo Viaduct. According to the Municipal Transportation and Traffic Superintendence (SMTT), this change is essential to facilitate the advancement of the works. Initially, in the direction from the city center to the beaches, traffic will be restricted to one lane for approximately 150 meters before reaching Codevasf. Meanwhile, the opposite direction will remain open with two lanes until March 1.

From March 2, the traffic situation will change again, as the direction towards the beaches will also operate with only one lane, starting just after the pedestrian and cyclist traffic light and continuing up to 150 meters before Codevasf. The SMTT has indicated that access to Tancredo Neves Avenue will remain unchanged, aiming to minimize disruptions while construction is ongoing. To prevent congestion, drivers are advised to plan their travel in advance and remain vigilant while navigating these new traffic conditions.
