Blumenau Brewery starts producing American Brooklyn

The American Brooklyn Brewery will begin production in Brazil at the Blumenau Brewery in March, marking an expansion of its presence in the local craft beer market.

Brooklyn Brewery, a renowned American beer brand established in 1988, is set to enhance its presence in Brazil by commencing production at Blumenau Brewery in Santa Catarina starting March. This move was announced as part of a collaboration with Maniacs Brewing, a Brazilian brewery in ParanΓ‘ that has been closely connected with Brooklyn Brewery since 2009, when they were responsible for its importation into Brazil.

The partnership began when Maniacs Brewing transitioned from focusing on imports to becoming a fully-fledged brewery in 2016, eventually starting local production of Brooklyn beer in 2018. This strategy was part of Brooklyn's plan to decentralize production across various countries, allowing for better local distribution and marketing directly within the Brazilian craft beer scene. The first brewing session representing this new collaboration is scheduled for March 5 during the Degusta Brasil event, which ties into the 17th Brazilian Festival.

The collaboration signals not only a significant development for Brooklyn's international market strategy but also reflects the growing craft beer culture in Brazil. By manufacturing locally, the brewery aims to cater to Brazilian tastes while benefiting from the prestige of the Brooklyn brand, further solidifying the connection between American and Brazilian craft beer communities.
