Viva la Breja brings 45 breweries to ABC Paulista in open bar
The Viva la Breja festival returns to São Bernardo Tênis Clube with 45 breweries offering an open bar experience and live music for attendees.
The Viva la Breja festival is set to take place at São Bernardo Tênis Clube this Saturday, marking its third edition and featuring 45 breweries, a record for the event. After a year-long hiatus without specified reasons, the festival returns with its classic format, providing participants with an all-inclusive open bar featuring numerous craft beers for a duration of six hours, complemented by live music. Entry is priced at R$ 259, with food available for separate purchase.
A significant highlight of this year's festival is the representation of local breweries from the ABC region, making up nearly a quarter of the event's lineup. Renowned local names include Colabeer, Barotto, Demokrata, Sancho Pança, and Sigilo Total, alongside the event's founders, Menze Brewing Co., Moret, and Suméria, all of whom hail from areas within São Caetano do Sul and Santo André. The participation of well-known breweries from São Paulo city, such as Cervejaria Central and Tarantino, adds further excitement, along with respected guest breweries from other states.
The revival of the Viva la Breja festival not only reflects the vibrant craft beer scene in Brazil but also serves as a significant social event for beer enthusiasts in the region. With the combination of local and national breweries, the festival aims to promote camaraderie and appreciation for the craft beer community, despite its brief absence from the calendar. Such events are crucial for fostering local culture and supporting small businesses within the craft brewing industry.
