The Brazilian Beer Competition, one of the prominent beer competitions in the country, is set to take place in Blumenau and has already registered over 2,700 labels across 175 different styles. This year's edition will highlight the best brews in an Olympic-style competition, awarding gold, silver, and bronze medals on March 3, during the Brazilian Beer Festival held at the Parque Vila GermΓ’nica, which is also known for hosting Brazil's largest Oktoberfest.
In this 14th edition of the competition, beers from 20 Brazilian states and the Federal District will be evaluated, with the most competitive categories being the American IPA, with 112 entries, and the Brazilian catharina sour, which has drawn in 98 samples.
