Three new average speed control sections start operating on Latvia's roads

Latvia has introduced three new average speed control sections on the Tallinn and Liepaja highways to promote road safety and enforce traffic regulations.

Today, Latvia began the operation of three new average speed control sections on the A1 Tallinn highway and the A9 Liepaja highway, as announced by VSIA "Latvijas valsts ceļi" (Latvian State Roads). These sections will monitor average driving speeds from Vitrupes to Svētciems on the Tallinn highway, and another section from the 10th kilometer to Kaģi, as well as from Blīdene to Brocēni on the Liepaja highway. This initiative aims to enhance road safety measures across the country.
