On February 24th at noon, more than 60 Baltic media outlets, including TVNET, will play the Ukrainian national anthem, marking the fourth year of this solidarity action. This initiative aims to demonstrate unity in support of Ukraine's battle against Russian aggression, showcasing the commitment of the media to raise awareness about the ongoing conflict.
This year, nearly 60 regional and national media organizations from Latvia will participate, alongside outlets from Lithuania and Estonia, indicating a growing solidarity among Baltic media in the face of the war. Previous years have seen a consistent effort to maintain awareness about the situation in Ukraine, emphasizing the need for continuous support for its citizens amidst the ongoing crisis.
Latvian Public Media has been instrumental in reporting the realities of the war, consistently highlighting stories from the frontline. The initiative not only seeks to inspire support within the community for Ukraine but also serves as a reminder of the long-term commitment needed to assist Ukraine until victory is achieved.
