The arrest of six gang members is noteworthy because it includes both Indian and Nepali citizens, who were reportedly running an illegal online betting network from their residences in the Indirapuram and Shahberi areas of Ghaziabad. These individuals are accused of employing deceptive practices to lure unsuspecting users into their betting schemes.

An important development in the case involved the recovery of mobile phones used for sending threatening emails to various schools in Gautam Buddh Nagar. The arrest is linked to a series of intimidating emails received by schools on January 23, hinting at potentially serious implications for school safety.
