Uncovering an Online Cricket Betting Network Operating for 10 Years

Police have uncovered an online cricket betting network operating for the past 10 years in Nagaur, Rajasthan, resulting in two arrests and the seizure of various electronic devices.

In Nagaur, Rajasthan, local police have dismantled an online cricket betting network that has reportedly been functioning for the last decade. This operation was conducted by the police in conjunction with the District Special Team (DST), which raided a location on Tausar Road at the Bhinwaraj Complex. During this operation, law enforcement officials arrested two individuals involved in the network and seized laptops, mobile phones, ATM cards, registers, and other electronic devices, signaling multimillion rupee transactions linked to their betting activities.

The investigation revealed that the suspects operated a multi-level scheme, providing clients with secret IDs and passwords to facilitate online betting. Additionally, data related to betting on matches between Pakistan and England was found on one of the seized mobile phones, confirming the scale of their operations. The police have presented the arrested individuals to court and obtained a four-day remand to further investigate the extent of the network.

Authorities are currently on the lookout for additional associates connected to this expansive betting operation and are probing into bank transactions linked to the activities of the network, aiming to uncover the full scale and financial underpinnings of the illegal betting ring in the region.
