Duplication of BR-365 is expanded and anticipated for 2028; stretch between Uberlândia and Patrocínio will have an investment of R$ 265 million

The expansion of BR-365's duplication between Uberlândia and Patrocínio has been brought forward to 2028, with a total investment of R$ 265 million for the project.

The duplication of BR-365, which connects Uberlândia and Patrocínio in Brazil, has been officially expanded by 10.3 kilometers, bringing the total length of duplicated lanes to 46.4 kilometers. This adjustment was formalized through a contract between the EPR Triângulo concessionaire and the Regulatory Transport Agency of Minas Gerais (Artemig). Originally, the construction project for the segment in Patrocínio was scheduled for 2031, but it has now been moved ahead to February 2028. The commencement of the construction is contingent upon the approval of environmental licenses.

The EPR Triângulo announced on October 10 that of the newly added length, 5.6 kilometers will be located in Uberlândia between kilometers 576 and 581, where a new bridge is also planned to be constructed. Meanwhile, 4.7 kilometers will be developed in Patrocínio, specifically between kilometers 486 and 490. The total investment for this project in the region amounts to over R$ 400 million, with R$ 265 million specifically allocated for the BR-365 duplication. The project is expected to create over 5,000 direct and indirect jobs, showcasing its significance for local employment.

In addition to the expansion of BR-365, the partnership includes broader infrastructure improvements in the area, although the exact nature of these additional changes was not detailed in the report. Such enhancements are likely to have a positive economic impact on the connected cities and their residents, bolstering regional development and connectivity.
