The largest construction site in the Northern region will receive investments of R$ 740 million
The company Nova 364 plans to invest R$ 740 million in the federal highway BR-364, connecting Vilhena to Porto Velho in Rondônia, focusing on improving grain transportation in the Northern Arc.
The concessionaire Nova 364 has announced a significant investment of R$ 740 million this year for the federal highway BR-364, which serves as a crucial link between Vilhena and Porto Velho in the state of Rondônia. This highway is pivotal for the Northern Arc's grain transportation, signifying the importance of efficient transport routes for agricultural exports. The intended funding is expected to be 50 times greater than the average public investment of R$ 13.7 million annually in this segment from 2020 to 2025, highlighting a substantial escalation in financial commitment to infrastructure in this region.
In recent years, public investments on the Vilhena-Porto Velho axis have accumulated to R$ 82.5 million, with notable allocations earmarked for the reconstruction of the highway's pavement, including a reserve of R$ 319 million intended for 2026. It's clear that the investment strategy not only focuses on immediate enhancements but also anticipates long-term operational sustainability, with around R$ 186 million slated for maintenance purposes, showing a comprehensive approach to infrastructure development.
By 2026, if the projected volumes are executed as planned, the BR-364 is set to become the largest logistics construction site in Northern Brazil. This redevelopment is essential, particularly for local economies that depend heavily on agricultural exports, as improved road conditions are likely to facilitate trade and enhance economic growth in the region, reflecting a broader strategy to optimize Brazil's logistics networks.
