The Edo State Police Command has announced the deployment of 5,000 police personnel in anticipation of the Eid-el-Fitr celebration this year. According to the Public Relations Officer of the police command, Eno Ikoedem, the extensive deployment is part of efforts to enhance police visibility and respond quickly to any potential issues that might arise. In addition to general patrols, specific units such as the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) personnel have been strategically positioned to conduct sweeps at designated prayer grounds and high-traffic areas.
