Civil police in Pernambuco executed multiple judicial warrants against a criminal group suspected of robbery and homicide involving local merchants.
On February 17, the Civil Police of Pernambuco carried out an operation in which 31 judicial warrants were executed against a criminal group implicated in robberies and homicides targeting local merchants known as sulanqueiros in the Agreste region. The police identified the group following a series of investigations that were initiated in 2025, triggered by the seizure of firearms in the Vila do Amor area of Santa Cruz do Capibaribe. Among the significant finds were firearms and tactical gear, underlining the serious nature of the criminal operations.
