NSCDC deploys 53,500 personnel nationwide ahead of Eid-el-Fitr
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has deployed over 53,500 personnel nationwide to ensure security during the Eid-el-Fitr festivities.
In preparation for the Eid-el-Fitr celebration, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the deployment of more than 53,500 personnel across Nigeria. This strategic move, as directed by Commandant General Abubakar Audi, includes tactical operatives and intelligence teams positioned in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory to maintain a peaceful environment during the festivities.
The NSCDC aims to enhance national security, particularly during festive periods that are often associated with increased public gatherings and potential security threats. The deployment will focus on safeguarding Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, ensuring that citizens can partake in the celebrations without concerns over safety. According to NSCDC spokesman Babawale Afolabi, this initiative is a proactive measure to address any emerging threats that might disrupt the holiday's significance.
