Eid-el-Fitr: NSCDC mobilizes massive 3,400-strong force in Kano

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has deployed over 3,400 personnel in Kano State to ensure security during the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

In preparation for the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has mobilized more than 3,400 personnel throughout Kano State. This action aims to enforce security measures before, during, and after the festivities. State Commandant Hassan Mohammed Agalama emphasized that this deployment is a proactive step to guarantee that the celebrations remain peaceful and secure, thereby safeguarding public safety and national assets.

Agalama's statement, conveyed through the command's Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, highlighted the strategic positioning of operatives at various key locations, including Eid praying grounds, markets, motor parks, and other areas that are considered vulnerable to security threats. These measures aim to deter potential disruptions and ensure that the citizens of Kano can enjoy the celebrations without any concerns for their safety.

Additionally, the NSCDC has placed particular focus on protecting critical infrastructure such as power installations, water facilities, and telecommunication masts. This multi-faceted approach not only aims to ensure the safety of the public during Eid-el-Fitr, but also emphasizes the importance of maintaining vital services that are essential for the community well-being during the holiday festivities, showcasing the Corps' commitment to their duty of care for citizens in Kano State.
