Government will hold public hearings to regularize more than 6,000 properties in Piauí

The government of Piauí is set to hold public hearings in six municipalities to initiate the regularization of over 6,000 urban properties.

The State Government of Piauí, through the Administration Secretariat (Sead), has announced a series of public hearings taking place this week in six municipalities to commence the process of regularizing more than 6,000 urban properties. This initiative is part of the 'Casa Legal' program aimed specifically at improving property ownership and land registration within urban areas.

The first public hearing is scheduled for Parnaíba where approximately 2,000 properties are targeted for regularization in the Piauí neighborhood. The event will be held on Wednesday, with local officials present to discuss the implications and procedures involved in the regularization process. This initiative is anticipated to have a significant impact on local residents by ensuring legal ownership of their homes, thereby encouraging investment and improving overall community stability.

Following Parnaíba, additional public hearings will take place in the cities of Parnaguá, Curimatá, and Corrente. Each of these events is set to address specific numbers of properties in their respective urban areas. For instance, Parnaguá will focus on 500 properties, while Curimatá aims to regularize 400. The engagement of local governments in this program exemplifies efforts to enhance urban planning and property rights, crucial for the socio-economic development of these regions.
