The Government of Piauí is set to release the announcement for a unified public competition that will include 200 job vacancies by the first half of 2026. This information was shared by the state Secretary of Administration, Samuel Nascimento, who emphasized the significance of this competition for the state's public service.

The competition will involve at least nine different state departments and agencies, offering 100 positions for immediate hiring. Governor Rafael Fonteles authorized the competition in December 2025, indicating an ambitious plan to bolster the state's workforce by providing a wide range of job opportunities at both middle and higher education levels. Nascimento expressed confidence that by the end of 2026, Piauí would see the largest number of public service competitions in its history.

In addition to the unified competition, a separate competition for the Military Police is in the final stages of its announcement, as stated by the commander of the Police in Piauí, Colonel Scheiwann Lopes. The various roles available through this competition reflect a strategic approach to addressing staffing needs within the state administration, contributing to enhanced public service capacity and government efficiency.
