Jardim Maitê Tunnel is Closed and Affects Traffic in Suzano

The Jardim Maitê Tunnel in Suzano will be closed for maintenance work on November 18 and 19, affecting local traffic.

The Jardim Maitê Tunnel in Suzano will be closed on Wednesday, November 18, and Thursday, November 19, from 9 AM to 2 PM for asphalt requalification and maintenance services. This tunnel serves as a crucial connection between Areião Road and Regino Alves de Almeida Street, facilitating traffic flows within the area.

During the closure, the Suzano City Hall advises motorists traveling towards Mogi das Cruzes to access Vila Monte Sion via Doutor Prudente de Moraes Street to reach Areião Road. Drivers already on Areião Road should navigate towards Mogi das Cruzes before making a U-turn back to Suzano. The town authorities emphasized the importance of these measures to ensure smoother traffic and better connectivity while the maintenance work is undertaken.

This maintenance comes on the heels of earlier improvements made in July of the previous year. These included pothole repairs, drainage work, as well as enhancements to lighting and general cleaning efforts. The overall aim is to prevent flooding during rainy seasons and improve the structural integrity and safety of the tunnel for all who use it.
