SP-304 will have closures and a new exclusive lane in Santa Terezinha, in Piracicaba; see what changes
Piracicaba's city hall announces traffic changes on SP-304, including a new exclusive lane and street closures to improve local traffic conditions.
The municipality of Piracicaba has announced significant alterations to traffic on the SP-304 roadway, particularly affecting the neighborhoods of Parque São Matheus and Santa Terezinha. The changes, communicated on Thursday (26) by the city hall, stem from measures implemented by the Eixo-SP concessionaire aimed at addressing traffic congestion caused by recent modifications, including the closure of Nossa Senhora do Carmo street at the Santa Terezinha gas station intersection.
Among the newly introduced modifications is a dedicated lane on the SP-304 for vehicles exiting Parque São Matheus via Virginia Pratta Gregolin and Hermes Gregolin streets. This exclusive lane serves to enhance the flow of traffic, facilitating smoother transit as vehicles make their way out of the neighborhood toward the larger roadway network. Additionally, to further regulate traffic patterns in Santa Terezinha, the city will add a new traffic lane on Virgílio da Silva Fagundes street, extending from Rua Hermenegildo Vendemiatti to Travessa Luís Franchi, aimed at improving access in the direction of the city center.
These measures reflect the city hall's efforts to proactively manage traffic flow and enhance commuter safety. By restructuring traffic pathways and introducing exclusive lanes, local authorities seek to alleviate congestion and ensure a more efficient transportation system within these neighborhoods. These modifications could positively influence residents' daily travels while aiming for a better-organized traffic dynamic in Piracicaba.
