Sallah: NSCDC deploys 2,350 operatives in Kwara
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has deployed 2,350 operatives across Kwara State for enhanced security during the Eid celebration.
In a proactive security measure for the upcoming Eid celebration, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kwara State has announced the deployment of 2,350 operatives to ensure the safety of residents and protect critical national assets. This deployment, approved by Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, encompasses all sixteen local government areas of the state and includes personnel from various specialized units such as the Counter-Terrorism Unit and the Anti-Vandal Unit.
The Public Relations Officer of the Civil Defence in Kwara, Ayoola Michael, stated that the deployment is based on credible intelligence and thorough threat assessments, focusing on high-risk areas and sensitive locations. This strategic plan aims to maximize operational effectiveness and public safety during the Eid festivities, which are traditionally a time of increased gatherings and communal celebrations.
By bolstering security in anticipation of the Eid celebrations, the NSCDC underscores its commitment to preventing potential threats and ensuring a peaceful environment for residents. The presence of specialized units also signifies a preparedness to address various emergencies, thereby enhancing the overall sense of security in the region during this significant religious event.
