The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) initially issued a warning for Monday (16) and has now extended this alert through Tuesday (17). The updated forecast indicates that 315 cities in the central, western, and parts of northern regions of the state will be affected, with 252 cities at risk of storms and 85 facing potential heavy rain.
The alerts for Tuesday suggest the possibility of intense winds reaching up to 60 km/h and rain accumulation of up to 30 mm per hour or 50 mm per day. Additionally, the storm warning includes potential hail forecasts. As of now, there are no official alerts for Wednesday (18), but it's expected that a new warning could be issued as a cold front moves into southern Brazil, further increasing rainfall and storm activity in the region, according to the Environmental Technology and Monitoring System of Paraná (Simepar).
