Paraná's National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) has issued a storm alert for 85 cities in the southern regions of the state, warning of severe weather conditions that may include hail, wind speeds of up to 60 km/h, and heavy rain reaching 30 mm per hour or 50 mm per day. This alert is set to be in effect from midnight to 11:59 PM on Monday, September 16, and also affects parts of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.

Prior to this alert, short and typical summer rain showers were already anticipated for Sunday, September 15, with warm temperatures predicted to trigger these showers, particularly in the southwest, west, and northwest areas of Paraná. However, the situation is expected to escalate on Monday with more intense and widespread storms.
