Passenger Record Boosts Revenue and Profit at Copenhagen Airport
Copenhagen Airport reported record passenger numbers, leading to increased revenue and profit in their latest financial results.
Copenhagen Airport achieved its highest ever passenger number, which significantly boosted both its revenue and profit for the year 2025. The company’s annual report, released last Friday, highlights a revenue of approximately 5.5 billion Danish kroner, representing a nine percent increase from the previous year. This marks a notable financial recovery and growth trajectory for the airport after challenging years.
The profit also saw a substantial rise, with a net result of 1.2 billion Danish kroner for 2025, up from around 1 billion the year before. This growth is attributed to a remarkable 32.4 million passengers traveling through the airport last year, surpassing the previous record of 30.3 million which was set in 2018. The increasing travel demand indicates a rebound in the aviation sector as it continues to recover from the impacts of the pandemic.
Christian Poulsen, the CEO of Copenhagen Airports, expressed optimism about the sustained appetite for travel. He noted that the surge in passenger numbers is partly due to airlines launching new routes and increasing flight frequencies on existing routes. This positive trend not only reflects growing consumer confidence in air travel but also positions Copenhagen Airport as a vital hub in the global aviation network, setting a promising outlook for future growth and investment in infrastructure.
