Record February at Kraków Airport. "We are growing the fastest in Europe"
In February, Kraków Airport served over one million passengers for the first time in its history, marking an 18% increase compared to the previous year.
In February, Kraków Airport welcomed 1,012,028 passengers, which is 155,000 more than the previous year, reflecting an 18% increase. This landmark achievement marks the first time in history that the airport surpassed the one million passenger mark in just the second month of the year, compared to the previous record being set in April last year.
The growth of Kraków Airport has been emphasized by the industry association ACI Europe, which reported that in 2025, Kraków Airport became the fastest-growing large airport in Europe, finishing the year with a passenger growth rate of 19.5%. This outperformed Warsaw’s Chopin Airport and Budapest Airport, which saw increases of 13.2% and 11.7% respectively, highlighting Kraków's significant expansion in air travel.
The record performance in February indicates that the growth momentum at Kraków Airport is continuing unabated, providing optimism for the future. As the winter charter season comes to an end at regional airports, such as Olsztyn-Mazury, the success at Kraków offers a contrasting picture of growth and vitality in Polish airport services, setting a precedent for further advancements in the aviation sector for the months to come.
