Researchers have until this Friday to submit proposals for a public notice aimed at creating Territorial Intelligence Centers in Piauí.
Researchers in Piauí have until this Friday to submit their project proposals for a public notice that offers over R$ 3 million in funding aimed at establishing Territorial Intelligence Centers (NIT). These centers are designed to connect researchers, academic institutions, public managers, and local communities to generate knowledge tailored to the specific needs and potential of each region.
The public notice is organized by the Intelligence Center in Economy and Territorial Strategy (Ciet) of the Secretary of State Planning of Piauí, in collaboration with the State Research Support Foundation of Piauí (Fapepi). The investment will be allocated to scholarships and funding for research projects, emphasizing the state's commitment to enhancing applied research that addresses local challenges.
After the application period ends, the submitted proposals will undergo a merit evaluation process, with the final decision on selected initiatives expected to be announced by May 5, 2026. This initiative is expected to significantly bolster research efforts that contribute to the development of Piauí and its regions, leading to more informed policy-making and community engagement.
