Government invests R$ 27 million in paving Teresina, Picos, Piripiri, and Floriano
The government of Piauí is investing R$ 27 million in asphalt paving projects across four cities to enhance urban mobility and local infrastructure.
On Thursday, Governor Rafael Fonteles signed service orders for asphalt paving projects in four cities within Piauí: Teresina, Picos, Piripiri, and Floriano. With an investment of approximately R$ 27 million, these projects aim to improve urban mobility and strengthen road infrastructure, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for local residents. The Department of Highways of Piauí (DER-PI) will carry out the works, which are expected to be completed by June. The funding for these projects comes from a partnership between Senator Marcelo Castro, the State Government, and the Federal Government. According to Governor Fonteles, the construction plans were developed in response to needs expressed by local mayors, legislators, and community leaders, reflecting a collaborative approach to urban development. This investment is part of a broader strategy to modernize the state's infrastructure, addressing critical transport issues in the region and facilitating better access and mobility for its inhabitants. Governor Fonteles emphasized that improving the streets and avenues in these four major cities would have a positive impact on daily commutes and elevate the overall living conditions for the population of Piauí.
