The government of Piauí has allocated over R$ 7.6 million for urban mobility improvements in Demerval Lobão, focusing primarily on paving works.
The government of Piauí has announced an investment of over R$ 7.6 million aimed at improving urban mobility in the municipality of Demerval Lobão. This announcement was made by Governor Rafael Fonteles during his visit to the city, where he also toured facilities related to the Piauí Saúde Digital program and the Ceti Domingos Alves da Costa education center. The funding, which is part of ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure in the region, signifies a commitment to addressing mobility issues faced by local residents.
Of the total funding, more than R$ 5.2 million is specifically allocated for paving works with paralelepípedo, a type of cobblestone often used in Brazil. The state's development institute, Idepi, has been authorized to carry out 10,386 square meters of this paving, which is set to improve accessibility in key areas of Demerval Lobão. Additionally, R$ 1.2 million has been earmarked for paving between the neighborhoods of Piaçava and Chapada do Sono, showcasing the government's focus on connecting different parts of the community through improved road infrastructure.
This investment not only aims to enhance the physical landscape of Demerval Lobão but also reflects broader infrastructure development goals within the state of Piauí. By prioritizing such projects, the government hopes to stimulate local economic growth and enhance the quality of life for residents. The successful implementation of these initiatives may serve as a model for future infrastructure projects throughout the state, potentially attracting further investments in urban development and public services.
