Sejong University RISE Project Team Holds Industry-Academic Cooperation Exhibition 'NEXT PAGE'
Sejong University's RISE Project Team will host the 'NEXT PAGE' exhibition to showcase creative works from students and industry professionals in the animation sector.
Sejong University, under the leadership of President Eom Jong-hwa, is organizing an exhibition titled 'NEXT PAGE' as part of its RISE Project aimed at cultivating talent for creative industries. The exhibition will take place from March 11 to 16 at the Maru Art Center in Insa-dong, Seoul, featuring student works from the convergence AI creative program and contributions from veteran directors in the animation industry. This event highlights the collaboration between academia and industry in promoting innovation and creativity. The 'NEXT PAGE' exhibition, themed 'Beyond the Frame', aims to explore the possibilities of new content creation and intergenerational collaboration in artistic endeavors. Collaborating with notable businesses in the Seoul content industry such as NE4U INC, Edgy Animation, and J-Cube Animation Studio, the event serves to publicize the educational achievements of the RISE Projectβs undergraduate track in creative industrial talent development. The exhibition will showcase outstanding student projects produced in academic courses alongside a publication documenting over 30 years of creative work by professional directors in the animation field. In addition to the exhibits, the event will include mentorship and networking programs that facilitate interactions between students and industry professionals. This collaboration among seasoned directors like Kang Won-young, Kim Gi-du, Kim Seong-hoon, and others, aims to enrich students' learning experiences in the animation production process, offering them insight into the industry's structure and fostering their growth as the next generation of creators. The project is led by Professor Han Chang-wan from the Cartoon Animation Department, underscoring Sejong University's commitment to advancing creative talent in South Korea's animation sector.
