This weekend, the Estonian swimming team participated in the Baltic Championships held in Riga, where they achieved an impressive second place overall, accumulating 732 points across two competition days. The team was outpaced by Lithuania, which scored 910 points, while Latvia trailed significantly behind with just 324 points. The performance solidified Estonia's standing in regional swimming competitions.

Throughout the championships, Estonian swimmers demonstrated exceptional talent, collectively securing 93 medals across various age categories. The medal count included four gold, eleven silver, and ten bronze in the absolute category, six gold, thirteen silver, and fifteen bronze for juniors, and nine gold, fourteen silver, and eleven bronze for youth swimmers. The substantial haul of medals highlights the depth of swimming talent present within Estonia and serves to bolster the sport's profile in the country.

Among the standout performers was 14-year-old Emily-Pärli Jäärats, who emerged as the most successful individual swimmer, becoming a double Baltic champion in both the 50 and 100-meter butterfly events. Additionally, she earned a bronze medal in the 50-meter freestyle event. Jäärats's victories across multiple events in both the absolute and youth categories not only underscore her personal achievements but also exemplify the promising future of Estonian swimming on international stages.
