Estonia won the Baltic team championships in youth athletics

Estonia triumphed at the youth Baltic championships in multi-event athletics held in Lasnamäe, securing both team and individual titles.

This weekend, the Lasnamäe Athletics Hall hosted the Baltic championships for youth athletes in the U-16, U-18, and U-20 age categories. The Estonian team claimed the championship trophy, showcasing their dominance in the competition, along with three individual Baltic championship titles. The event highlighted Estonia's growing prowess in youth athletics and its successful sport programs.

In the U-20 age group, Tristan Konso emerged as the seven-event champion, achieving a personal best of 5711 points, which placed him second in Estonia's all-time rankings, second only to Hans-Christian Hausenberg. His impressive performance outshone the competition, including Latvia's Karlis Jekabs Karlsbergs, who earned silver with 5324 points, and bronze medalist Ron Sebastian Puiestee, who also reached a personal record of 5231 points.

The U-18 category saw a remarkable double victory for Estonia, as Hank-Gerhard Hausenberg and Aleksander Metsmaker both set new personal records with scores of 5279 and 5162 points respectively. Latvia's Martinš Matisans earned third place with a score of 4768 points, indicating a competitive event overall. In the U-16 category, Patrick Tomasson also achieved a personal best, further illustrating Estonia's strong performance across all age groups in the championships.
