Sweden evacuated Finns from the Middle East – Here is the price

Sweden organized a repatriation flight that brought back a few Finns stranded in the Middle East along with nearly 180 Swedes.

The Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has facilitated repatriation flights for its citizens stranded in the Middle East. According to Sveriges Radio, a recent flight brought back nearly 180 Swedish nationals along with a few Finns who were caught in the turmoil. The flight departed from Dubai to Stockholm and highlights the ongoing efforts to assist citizens abroad during crises.

The cost for the adults on the flight was approximately 12,000 Swedish Krona, which translates to around 1,120 Euros, while children were charged 9,000 Krona or about 840 Euros. This indicates the financial implications for families seeking return to their home countries amid abroad emergencies. The high price may reflect the logistical challenges and risks associated with organizing such flights in volatile regions.

Additionally, as of Monday, reports indicated that there were still approximately 2,050 Finns registered in the United Arab Emirates, raising concerns about their safety and the possibility of further evacuations. This situation underscores the complex geopolitical landscape and the responsibilities of governments to protect and aid their citizens overseas during crises.
