Ifba opens registrations for free training courses for health professionals; find out more

Ifba is offering 200 free and remote training opportunities for health professionals starting from September 6, linked to the Brazilian government's health program.

The Instituto Federal da Bahia (Ifba) in Salvador is launching registrations for 200 free distance training courses specifically aimed at health professionals, in collaboration with the Brazilian Ministry of Health. This initiative begins on Friday, September 6, and is part of the national selection process. The courses are associated with the Formatec-SUS program and will enhance the skills of healthcare workers across the country.

There are two distinct courses available, each with a 60-hour workload spread over four months. The first course focuses on 'Radiological Techniques: Radiological Protection in the Unified Health System (SUS)', while the second is aimed at 'Radiological Techniques: Mammography Practices for Transgender Individuals within SUS'. Each course will have 100 openings, with some slots reserved for historically marginalized groups, including Black or Brown individuals, Indigenous peoples, quilombolas, and persons with disabilities (PCD), respecting current legislation.

These training opportunities are crucial for addressing the evolving needs of health professionals in Brazil, thereby improving the quality and accessibility of health services for diverse populations. The focus on inclusivity marks an important step towards equitable healthcare education, ensuring that a wider array of professionals are equipped to serve all segments of the population effectively.
