Ifba offers a thousand vacancies in preparatory course; see list of cities and how to enroll
Ifba has opened free registrations for a preparatory course to prepare students for admission to the institute, offering a total of 1,000 spots across 24 cities in Bahia.
The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Bahia (Ifba) has launched free registrations for its selective process for the preparatory course under the "PartiuIF" program. This initiative aims to equip students for successful admission and retention at Ifba. A total of 1,000 free spots are available, distributed among 24 municipalities in Bahia, targeting students currently enrolled in the 9th grade who have completed their elementary education in public schools.
This selective process includes reserved spots for candidates with a per capita family income of up to a minimum wage, as well as for self-declared black, brown, indigenous, quilombola students, and people with disabilities (PcD). In total, 25 classes will be formed, each accommodating 40 students in 24 different cities, with Salvador seeing a provision of 80 spots spread over two classes. Classes will be held at the Salvador campus located in the Barbalho neighborhood and at Ifba's headquarters in the Canela neighborhood.
This initiative reflects Ifba's commitment to promoting access to education for underrepresented groups, encouraging enrollment from students who may face barriers to entering further education. The program's targeted approach aims to ensure that diverse students gain the necessary preparatory skills to pursue their academic goals within the institution.
